In collaboration with the UCL Institute of Education (IoE) and the Centre for Mental Health (CMH), the EIF are hosting an event that will engage leading policymakers, commissioners, and service providers about recent evidence on childhood mental health and social-emotional skills.

This event will provide an opportunity for learning and discussion by drawing on three ESRC-funded longitudinal studies including:

• the prevalence and incidence of children’s mental health problems and their variation among different socio-demographic groups
• the role of social and emotional learning on later adult outcomes
• skills in early childhood as predictors of later life outcomes.
