Dr Triin Edovald

Triin joined the EIF team as associate director in October 2022, on a part-time basis. Previously, Triin served as director of evidence and experimentation at Nesta, developing Nesta’s approach to evaluation, promoting the best practice standards in research and overseeing the evaluations across Nesta's missions.

Prior to this, Triin was head of evaluation at the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), leading its approach to evaluation and overseeing the commissioning and management of EEF-funded randomised controlled trials and other evaluations delivered by over 20 research teams. She also managed the EEF’s Global Trials Fund and worked closely with international partners to build evaluation capacity and capability. Triin also held a post of principal researcher at Innovation Growth Lab (IGL) at Nesta after working for organisations such as NatCen Social Research, Dartington Social Research Unit and the National Academy for Parenting Research at King’s College London.

Triin holds a PhD in Evidence-Based Intervention and an MSc in Evidence-Based Social Work from the University of Oxford, and a BA in Educational Sciences from the University of Tartu.
