Wendy Meredith
Wendy is an independent consultant specialising in public health with a career-long commitment to improving children’s health and well-being and tackling health inequalities. She is an experienced Director of Public Health having held the position for a variety of local and regional health organisations since 2002, including Cheshire County Council, Bolton Council, East Sussex County Council and London Borough of Ealing.
She also spent three years at the Department of Health as Deputy Regional Director of Public Health for the North West where she worked with the Marmot Team to develop health inequalities strategy – “Living Well across local communities”. During her time at Bolton, she chaired the Greater Manchester Public Health Group where she worked across the system to develop and implement the Greater Manchester Early Years Strategy and the new models of care for integrated Early Years Services. She also developed the Greater Manchester Population Health Plan whilst seconded to the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership as Director for Population Health.
