Steph graduated from Cardiff University with a BSc in Neuroscience with a year in industry, before working as a graduate student at the Institute of Neurology, UCL. While working at UCL Steph developed and validated a computational model of movement-related motor cortical dynamics using human neuroimaging data.

Steph has also conducted market research for her small business, worked in a secondary school, and throughout her time at Cardiff and UCL was active in science education outreach projects, including co-organising a neuroscience conference for secondary school students.
