Dr Ian Moore
Research Officer
Ian joined EIF from Durham University, where he was studying for a PhD in education, focused on psycholinguistics, personality and its relationship with learning outcomes (such as language attainment). His PhD has also focused on testing the robustness of evidence regarding the value of the ‘year abroad experience’ in relation to linguistic growth.
Ian worked on a number of systematic reviews as a research assistant, covering a range of topics including personality variability and continuing professional development. Prior to his PhD, Ian completed a BA in German and TEFL at Swansea University and an MSc in applied linguistics and second language acquisition at Oxford University.
