Director of Policy & Practice
Donna has lead work to communicate and drive the use of EIF evidence since 2013. She works extensively with policymakers in Whitehall departments, national sector organisations and local areas.
Before joining EIF she spent over 10 years in central government in various roles developing policy and leading the implementation of programmes to provide targeted support to children and families. Most recently she developed policy on family intervention and its expansion in the DCLG Troubled Families Team; before that she was deputy head of the DfE Families at Risk division, where she was responsible for national programmes to increase the availability of evidence-based parenting and family support. She has also worked as a policy adviser in the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit and the Social Exclusion Unit.
Donna started her career as a qualitative researcher and worked at the National Centre for Social Research.
