Paul Ramchandani is LEGO Professor of Play in Education, Development and Learning at Cambridge University, UK. He also works as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the UK National Health Service and was previously Professor of Child and Adolescent Mental Health at Imperial College London. He undertook his medical studies in Southampton before obtaining a degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a DPhil at the University of Oxford.

Paul's research has focused on mental health and he has a particular interest in the development of play and the prevention of emotional and behavioural problems in the early years of life. This includes the development and testing of psychological interventions.
