Helen Burridge

Senior Research Officer

Before joining EIF, Helen worked as a mixed-methods researcher in the Children and Families team at the National Centre for Social Research. She conducted pilot studies and randomised controlled trials to evaluate school-based interventions, including early years literacy and home learning environment programmes, a mentoring scheme for disadvantaged pupils, and a relationships and sex education teaching resource. She also conducted qualitative research exploring the barriers to early identification of young carers, stakeholder views on a children’s mental health outcomes framework, and the impact of Covid-19 on students’ wellbeing.

Helen holds a BA in experimental psychology from the University of Oxford and an MSc in psychology of education from the Institute of Education, University College London.
