Dr Aleisha Clarke
Head of What Works, Child Mental Health & Wellbeing
Aleisha leads EIF’s research on child and adolescent mental health. Her research interests lie in understanding what works to support children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing in the school and out-of-school settings. Aleisha also has a particular interest in common elements research and is principle investigator of a common elements research project on early childhood education carried out in collaboration with PEDAL at Cambridge University.
Prior to joining EIF, Aleisha was a Marie Skłodowska Curie Research Fellow at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. She completed her PhD on supporting children’s mental health at the World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Health Promotion, NUI Galway. She is a former primary school teacher.
